Option 1: Design Plan Consultation - $225/room
- The first step in Option 1 is a complete review of your home or office, room by room. As our client, you are asked to fill out a lifestyle questionnaire prior to our visit. This assists us in providing you with a complete design scheme, according to your preferences. We inquire about color, furniture, (both existing and new), fabrics to pull your look together, and other preferences or styles.
- During this time we will photograph spaces and take measurements of each space. Many times, we will ask to see other rooms that surround the specific project area. Even though we might not be working in those areas, our intent is to create an environment that works to create a flow.
- After reviewing your home we allow several hours per room to design your spaces to suit you and your home or office.
- The initial consultation phase of Option 1 usually takes 1.5 hours. Design advice is not given to the client at this time. This is only the beginning of the process.
- Following the in-home or in-office consultation, the designer begins the creative process that leads to a presentation of colors, fabrics and furniture styles, individually suited to your needs. After a few weeks you are invited to the Ambiance Design Center for a formal presentation. Using the photographs that were taken during the initial consultation, we will walk through your home or business. During this time we strive to create a clear mental picture of your transformed environment using fabrics, furniture, finishes, rugs, colors, window treatment and other samples. The projected costs of items are discussed (Plans can be presented on at you home or office for an additional fee.)
- The presentation will take up to one hour. Your questions are welcome at this time, as much dialogue will be exchanged. Your satisfaction is our ultimate goal, so if you have comments or dislikes, this is the time to make adjustments to the plan. Although we feel that we are usually accurate in our choices, options will be provided until you are pleased with the final plan.
- At the presentation of the design scheme, you will receive detailing costs. Our prices are freely given and we invite comparison. You are encouraged to analyze our options, ideas, comments and suggestions.
Option 2: Wall Plan Consultation - $195/3 colors ($50 each additional color/wall covering)
- We consult on paint colors and wall coverings in two methods; either in your existing home/office or by blueprints and detailed drawings on new construction projects or by photographs for existing structures.
- A list of specific paint colors along with exact placement of each color will be provided for you.
- It is both helpful and necessary for you to provide any existing furniture and fabric samples which will be used in the overall space design. Light play is also important in choosing paint/finish colors as light has great effect on how color works in different spaces. Note how much sun/shade is in an area and at what time of the day.
- Up to one hour is allowed for a three color presentation and each additional color can usually be chosen within a 30-minute timeframe.
- Remember � Paint and wall finishes give you lots of �bang for the buck�.
- The �ambiance� of a room is determined first by wall color and then details!!
Option 3: In-Store Design Consultation - $125/hour
- Bring us samples of fabrics, color chips, carpet/ flooring, and photos along with rough room measurements so that we can get an idea of your space(s). Also, light play of the individual rooms is helpful. Many times this determines how all the elements work together to make a completed, finished environment that you�ll be glad to call yours.
- We also ask for photos of heirlooms and treasured pieces that you would like to incorporate into your plan. This is your history and almost always times takes a house and makes it a home.
- At this time we make recommendations on changes and pull suggestions for rugs, fabrics, furnishings, color schemes* and accessories while you wait. Allow one hour per room.
Accessorizing: In Home Design - $125/hour
- A budget will be recommended for each space.
- Once the budget is determined, a letter of agreement will be signed by both you and your spouse along with the designer for the project
- We ask that you give us the recommended amount of time alone in your space. This allows the designer to be creative.
- With the exception of paint, wallpaper, decorative wall finishes and carpet/flooring, everything can be done the same day. Draperies are hung, furniture placed and the space is accessorized.
- Any heirloom/treasures and or personal items that you wished to be used in the room should be noted to the designer and left in an easily accessible area. We are interested in your personal items and strive to incorporate your possessions (history)into our plan.
- With your approval, we also bring in anything necessary to complete the room and design the space to its fullest potential. This might consist of occasional pieces such as an end table, lamp or coffee table-whatever is needed. Our goal is top arrange your home and leave you with finished project-both tasteful and designed just for you.
- You then have two days to live with the �extra� items to decide what, if anything, to return. Our goal is to make your room(s) so amazingly wonderful that you do not want to change anything! Just know that you are never under any obligation to keep the �extras.� You will never be under pressure to purchase-we want to give you only the best in design!!
